Heat and flies! Here are a few tips to control flies in your home all year 'round, especially in this season!

1. Find/remove breeding sources. Carefully look for areas of fermenting or decaying organic matter. Some include where food item, and/or pet foods are stored outside of refrigerators/coolers; in seldom used, emptied or cleaned recycling bins; under floor mats; near dirty dried mops or brooms; in cracks and voids. Outdoors, search nearby dumpsters, garbage cans or in damp compost piles where fruits and vegetables are discarded.

2. Reactive vs. proactive. Consistent cleaning of food debris; taking garbage out daily; making sure to pick up pet waste in yards, making sure all windows and doors have screens.
